Application (Standard Form 424) must be submitted by the Chief Executive Officer of the State to the Attorney General, U.S. Department of Justice, Washington, DC 20530, with one copy being sent to the Director, Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, Department of Justice, 810 Seventh Street, NW, Washington, DC 20531. This program is excluded from coverage under OMB Circular No. A-110.
Note: Each program will indicate whether applications are to be submitted to the Federal headquarters, regional or local office, or to a State or local government office.
The Attorney General will approve the award. The award package will be sent to the chief executive officer of the State, with one copy of the award being signed by the chief executive or duly authorized representative and returned to the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
Note: Grant payments may be made by a letter of credit, advance by Treasury check, or reimbursement by Treasury check.
Awards may be made by the headquarters office directly to the applicant, an agency field office, a regional office,
or by an authorized county office. The assistance may pass through the initial applicant for further distribution by
intermediate level applicants to groups or individuals in the private sector.
